Gold-filled jewelry consists of a solid layer of 12K or 14K gold (making up at least 5% of the item’s total weight) that is mechanically bonded to a base metal.

Gold-filled pieces are highly durable and tarnish-resistant. With proper care, they can last a lifetime.

If you have sensitive skin, you can wear gold-filled jewelry without worrying about allergic reactions, as it is hypoallergenic.

How to Clean Gold-Filled Jewelry

⊹ To clean your gold-filled jewelry, use warm water and a soft, untreated cloth to dry and restore its shine.

⊹ For extra polishing, gently use a jewelry polishing cloth.

⊹ Part of our jewelry collection is Gold Vermeil, which means it is gold-plated upon Sterling Silver. Gold Vermeil is a high-quality form of gold plating where a thick layer of gold (between 2.5 - 3 microns) is bonded to Sterling Silver.

Most fashion jewelry is flash gold-plated, meaning it has a gold layer well below 1 micron and is not considered Gold Vermeil.
The key difference between Gold Vermeil and standard gold-plated jewelry is that Gold Vermeil has a much thicker gold layer, making it more durable, and it uses Sterling Silver as the base metal instead of brass, copper, or other lower-quality metals.

How to Care for Gold Vermeil Jewelry

To keep your Gold Vermeil jewelry beautiful for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips:

⊹ Avoid spraying perfume directly on your jewelry. Apply perfume first, then put on your jewelry.

⊹ Remove your jewelry before showering, exercising, or swimming in the ocean.

⊹ Keep your jewelry away from water and store it in a dry place such as a jewelry box, pouch, or ziplock bag.

You can clean your silver jewelry using mild soap, warm water, and a soft brush. A jewelry polishing cloth can also be used to restore shine.

Avoid using tissues or paper towels, as they may scratch the silver. A simple tip to keep your silver jewelry looking its best is to wear it often, as regular wear helps maintain its shine.
